                                   Laying motionless, entombed
The sea rocks like a foot nudging a cradle
                                   I lay suspended, prone
Like a babe in a mothers womb
Sunlight filtering through the skin of water

I lay in an uneasy repose

                                   Strung between tranquility and trepidation
Between the known and the unknown
And I muse, in my watery grave
How often I have been here
How dear a friend uncertainty has become
