Summer Time

June 10

Memorial Day is time to escape to the Indiana country and visit my sisters and her 3 adorable munchkins. It’s time for feeding chickens, collecting eggs, kissing on kittens and playing lots of games with the boys and dogs. Life feels like it slows down and becomes less complicated. There’s no particular place to go or deadline to meet. You can just breath. Pop had flown out to drive the family back to New Mexico for a vacation and so he and Elisha worked on projects outside her pottery studio.

It was 94 degrees and sunny and my cold cold upstate NY bones soaked it in. My goodness how I’ve missed the sun! I taught the boys a very Hoosier game Basketball H-O-R-S-E. So we spot the humid, hot afternoon stuffing ourselves with food and playing basketball.
